How It Works

1. Initial Conversation

We’ll discuss your potential interest in a solar project, lease rates/purchase offers and general terms.

2. Utility Feedback

If interested, we’ll fund and submit a pre-application request to your utility company. They will provide us with the most up-to-date information on the capacity of the nearby substation. Once we hear back from the utility company, Clean Grid will call you back to provide an update and discuss potential next steps.

3. Execute Lease or Purchase Agreement

We’ll review the final terms and execute the lease or purchase agreement. Under either scenario, the landowner will continue to utilize their land without interference through the option period. Clean Grid will conduct environmental studies, file interconnection applications with the utility, work with local permitting and zoning officials, etc., as we work through the various stages of the development process.
